If you know me, you know that I LOVE name crafts for my preschool classroom! Besides the fact they they are so cute, they also help develop the skills that we work on all year round!
To get you hooked on these fun crafts for your kids, I made this fun Rainbow Name craft for free!
3 Reason Why I Do Name Crafts:
- Name crafts are SO EASY! I love adding them to all my seasonal, holiday and themed activities! Plus everything you need for the craft is on one page! Each kid get their own craft template that they can cut, color and paste their name.
- They make for adorable (and FREE!) Classroom decor! After the kiddos complete their craft, I hang them all over the room or door and it makes for the perfect decor. These free rainbow crafts would be so cute for Spring!
- They work on so many skills! Your children will get to strengthen their fine motor skills with scissors practice, learn name recognition, and letter order!
How To Prep This Rainbow Name Craft
I start by opening PowerPoint and editing each student's name onto the cloud and the letters onto the rainbow pieces. I do have a small in home class so this process only takes me a couple seconds, but it does depend on you class size. If you have kids with longer names there are pages provided with extra rainbow strips.
Now you can set your students up with scissors, crayons, and glue! Children can cut, paste and color their rainbow to spell their name!
