Get your preschool classroom Yeti for the New Year with these adorable New Years hat crafts! Your little learners will get to cut, color, and decorate their own New Years crowns! But did I mention the best part yet?
These crafts are FREE!!
Yep, that's right! To ring in the New Years I wanted to share this printable craft with you as a FREEBIE so you don't have to stress about New Years prep!
How to make the New Years Crowns:
Step 1: Print and Color
Start by printing the New Years hat templates. There are four adorable Yeti themed crowns to choose from and I have also included up to the year 2025 so that you can re-use this for years to come!
Now your preschoolers can color and decorate their New Years crown however they want.
Step 2: Cut out the Crown
Once the New Years crown is colored, your kids can cut around the Yeti hat. This is a great way to incorporate fine motor skills and scissor practice into your New Years activities! If you have kids who aren't ready for scissors yet, you can do this step for them.
Step 3: Extender Strips
You have probably noticed that the New Years crown temple might not be big enough to fit you little one's heads. Don't worry, I have added extender strips that you can print and cut out. Plus you can decorate the strips to make the craft last longer. This is a great time to break out stickers, dot markers, or use the space to write names of each student!
Step 4: Glue The Crown Together
After the extender strips are decorated and cut out, you can glue the sides to the Yeti template to create your New Years hat. If you do not want to deal with glue, you can also staple the ends together to fit your child's head.
Step 5: Wear Your New Years Crown
