One of the best things about teaching preschoolers is how big their hearts are. They love to show love and so it’s no wonder that Valentine’s Day is a favorite celebration in the classroom.
If you are scratching your head wondering what easy Valentine’s Day crafts to do with your little learners this year, I have got you covered. My Valentine’s Day Bundle has everything you need to celebrate the season of love with fun and engaging crafts and activities. Best of all, all of the crafts require very little setup and can be used across all preschool age groups.
“I Love You to Pieces” Craft
This fun craft can be downloaded (for FREE!!) here with a solid heart and a grid heart option. Students use their fine motor skills to tear tissue paper or colored paper to fill in the hearts. Even the littlest of learners can do this craftivity! These make for such cute gifts for parents or grandparents for Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Q-Tip Crafts
I love q-tip painting! There are so many benefits to painting with q-tips, it is less messy, and uses concentration and fine motor skills. All you have to do is print whichever of the ten pictures you want to use and set out paint and q-tips!
Each picture in the set comes with a colored option which is perfect for students working on color recognition or matching. Depending on the age of your little ones, q-tip painting could be used as a center, Valentine’s gift project, or even a fun alternative to your normal indoor recess activity during these cooler months.
Heart Jar Name Craft
Looking for a fun Valentine’s activity to practice name recognition? This craft doubles as an adorable bulletin board or Valentine’s Day classroom decor. You could also glue the jars to paper bags and make them their Valentine bags, like one of my customers shared on Instagram!
Kids will cut and glue the letters of their names onto their jars. There are multiple ways you can choose to do this, black and white, color, with the letters printed, or having them write their own! It’s all customizable to your class and their needs.
Valentine’s Day Hats
Looking for an engaging activity for your class party? This fun Valentine’s craft is great for even the littlest learners. All you have to do is print the crowns and let them color them in.
There are five different options to choose from and instructions are included on how to get the best fit for your age group. Kids LOVE getting to wear their crowns and show off their hard work.
You can find all four of these easy Valentine’s Day crafts in my bundle, plus math and literacy centers and other themed activities.
